This page explains which data is processed when you use this website, the browser game, and the alpha download. No user account is required.

2. Website and downloads

When you request the website, version information, or game files, technically necessary connection data is processed. This includes the IP address, time and destination of the request, and information supplied by your browser. Processing is required to deliver and securely operate the service. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a functional and secure online service under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

The web server is configured without access logging. Connection data is processed while handling the request, but no personal visitor profiles or download statistics are created.

3. Hosting and technical service providers

We may use instructed hosting and IT service providers for technical operation. They receive data only to the extent required to provide, maintain, and protect the systems. Details of the hosting configuration and any additional security logs will be added before public launch where necessary.

4. Contact by email

If you contact us, we process your email address and message to respond to your request. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, or Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for contract-related enquiries. Access is limited to the people handling the request and necessary email providers. Messages are deleted when no longer required unless statutory retention duties or legal claims require otherwise.

5. Audience measurement, cookies, local language preference, and embedded content

We use Plausible Analytics, served through stats.danzasphere.net, for privacy-friendly audience measurement. It provides aggregated page-view counts that help us understand which parts of the website are used. Plausible does not set cookies, and we do not create personal visitor profiles. Technically necessary connection data is processed when the analytics script is requested and a page view is recorded. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in improving our online service under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Your deliberate language choice is stored only in your browser so it can take priority over the browser language on later visits. Fonts and gameplay images are served from our own server. There are no embedded videos, social-media widgets, or externally loaded fonts. External pages linked explicitly from this site have their own privacy policies.

6. Local game saves

The alpha stores game progress and settings locally on your device. The browser game uses local browser site storage; the Windows download uses local files. This data is not sent to our server. There is no cloud synchronization or in-game transmission of gameplay statistics. Clearing browser data may also remove the browser save. If you voluntarily send us a save file for troubleshooting, it is used only to handle your request.

7. Your rights

Subject to statutory requirements, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, and data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent for the future.

You may object to processing based on legitimate interests for reasons arising from your particular situation. Contact mail@danzasphere.de.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The competent authority in Lower Saxony is available at lfd.niedersachsen.de.

8. Updates

We update this information when website features or data processing change. The current notice covers a website offering a free download and browser game without accounts or payment functions.
